Has Candidacy Arbitrarily Denied by The Corinthian Board of Managers?!
Sept. 30th, 2024 An owner, and eligible candidate, with a long-standing & positive history in the building, submitted their nomination form to Honest Ballot at 4:51pm. Management confirmed acceptance of their nomination form and original bio.
Oct. 1st, 2024 At 4:18pm, building management cited that the owner’s units were “owned by a trust” and asked for “documentation that [they] are qualify[ed] to run for the board”.
Oct. 2nd, 2024: This owner addressed their concerns the next day, at 11:53am, and management informed them, at 12:30pm, that “[Honest Ballot] confirmed they will provide [them] until EOD tomorrow for these documents to be provided and the required proof confirmed”.
Oct. 3rd, 2024: The owner complied and had their counsel provide building management the same level of proof Dianne DeSando provided, in 2022, when her eligibility to serve on the board, and subsequently run as an incumbent, was questioned for also, & maybe still is, being owned by a trust.
So why did Dianne DeSando get to complete her term as a board member and run as an incumbent in the 2022 election and this unit owner was not even allowed to run? Because this current Board of Managers arbitrarily follow the by-laws and the house rules. And because this owner wrote the truth about the current leadership and board president, they wanted to silence their voice.
So if you’ve finally had enough with MORE OF THE SAME, please sign the petition listed at Corinthiannyc.org which calls for accountability by removing every single member of the board and starting fresh with a new board of managers.
